Time slows as you walk
The gentle slopes to the top
Of the Diamond Belle.

 

You've made it!
Breathtaking views pour in
From all sides.

 

The high Okanogan,
Forested hills and Mt. Bonaparte,
As far as you can see.

 

Just below to the west
Walker Lake is fittingly crowned
By towering fir and western larch.

 

Nature is alive everywhere.
The birds are obvious.
The rest is a feeling: pouring in,
Surrounding, comforting,
nurturing.

 

How is it that this place
Opens the heart?
How gently the spirit
Attaches and soothes.
How does it succeed in
Calling forth goodness?

 

So eloquent, yet unspoken,
It communicates to each .
The magic of your being,
Feeling bigger than ever before:
A large quiet power that
Is indeed you.

To savor and rejoice .
